Jewelry production is something more hand work than machines. With all process to be executed carefully, the quality piece can be a naturally result.
The process of how an idea becomes a jewelry
- Dig from a Concept, different designers will pop up ideas and try to turn idea into something that can be real.
- Sketch is the very beginning of a jewelry piece. Designer communicate with team members with the sketch for understanding the final look of the piece. This is a very important reference for RD groups.
- 3D drawing got two steps. Nowadays, designers work with 3D drawing software for sketches as well. Our RD group is using advanced software to simulate all the details of designs. This is efficient and also very real to look into the designs before work out physical samples.
- protos making is the first step of the production and aslo the most important step to the piece. every stop followed will be based on how the protos been created.
- Once protos are ready, it will get to waxing. With waxing machine, the first rough look of the piece is finished.
- after grinding, the piece will be polished to ensure the surface is fine. there are different tools for polishing effect for the need of the design itself. some special effect will depend on the creative mind of the production.
- plating is an important process of precious jewelry piece, like silver products. for different purposes, there will be different way of plating process including colors, surface effect and sometimes just for protection.
- setting is for the more luxury look design when stones been applied, like diamond, semi-precious stones, CZ etc. to have luxury look, hand setting is the most common way.
- jewelry piece does not always have one completed piece in one time. for the best effect and processing of the design, to have separated parts work and assembly by the end is a common way of production. In this case, assembly is a necessary process to go through for sure.
- after assembly, there are some experienced workers will adjust the final look of the piece to ensure that the piece is perfectly matching to the original designs.
- packing is the very last step of the production. why it is important because a proper packing process is the guarantee for having the customers receive the best condition of pieces.
